**Parking will be tight around the race on Saturday. Please DO NOT park on 59th street, that parking is reserved for another event. You will be ticketed or towed. If you live in Chicago, please consider riding to the race, it is only a few blocks from the lakefront path! Get off at 57th, and follow the bike/foot path to Stony Island and 57th. Take 57th west to Dorchester. Turn left on Dorchester and head south 3 blocks until you get to the course! Water and fresh fruit will be provided free to all racers courtesy of Hyde Park Produce Market.
The University of Chicago Velo Club proudly presents the 2009 edition of the Monsters of the Midway Criterium, the longest-running and most beloved criterium in the city of Chicago. As in past years, the race will take place on the Midway Plaisance, right next to the glorious campus of the University of Chicago.

To get there by car, take Lake Shore Drive and exit at the Museum of Science and Industry. Park your car on streets 60th and 61st please. Do not park on 59th St. (or on the course!). If you take public transportation, the Metra Electric Line will take you right next to the course if you get off the train at the 59th St. stop. And several CTA buses come down here to Hyde Park.
The Monsters of the Midway Criterium is sanctioned by American Bicycle Racing (ABR), and all ABR rules are in effect. Please bring a signed waiver form. You will also need a current ABR license. Application forms for a one-year license and a one-day license are available here and here, respectively, or at the registration table the day of the race.© 2009 Created by Francisco on Ning.
